My Favorite Blogs

I found there are so many great blogs by teachers. Here are the four of my favorite.

kleinspiration.com
The first thing that I loved about this website was the encouraging quotes for teachers about teaching and their students for example the quote Every child is someone else's world. The site gives positive and encouraging words that let you know this site is going to lift you up as a educator. The next thing I liked was that the blog entries had to do with how to make things simpler and organize your day and your time. Foe example the blog post in making grading fun gave great tips like all homework doesn't have to be written and that it will make homework not only fun for the teacher but for the student.

this blog had great classroom structure ideas. She put on pictures of how she arranged  her room in 2015 in her post 2015 Room Reveal. She explained why she set her room up and what benefits her classroom arrangement had for herself and students. It is good to see how a classroom looks and the reason behind it. New teachers can always learn from a veteran who has designed a room and found good and bad things in setting up a classroom.

This site has great ideas and information on running and what kind of centers and afternoon tub time. Working in small groups is a important part of interactive learning and it needs to be run smoothly and have good transitions. She explains the difference between morning tubs and afternoon tubs.Morning is lot of review from Kindergarten and Afternoon is more math and science. Great ideas to organize and give structure to small group times.

This blogger had great ideas on literacy and spelling organization and how to structure how to organize and work with students to build literacy and spelling.I find that it would be difficult to properly organize and teach spelling and vocabulary.

The two other student sites I visited were

I enjoyed the blog and thought she shared great ideas. I didn't however find the blog by Barb Istas to be helpful about decluttering your room. I don't think that is helpful in working with students and having a organized and well run classrooms

the next blog
https://teachwithsass.blogspot.com/
I loved this blog, I found this had the most helpful blogs of the 8 student websites I looked at especially the literacy learners blog. Literacy is so very important in learning and id the foundation for all  subjects.
